Sexual Violence Awareness Week September 11-15,
2006
Every year, during the 3rd
week of September, the Newfoundland and Labrador Sexual Assault Crisis
and Prevention Centre organizes and oversees a series of public events
to raise awareness on sexual violence issues. Through these events we aim to
draw attention to the unfortunate reality that sexual violence is widespread
in our province and our Centre is under constant demand as a resource for
those who have to deal with the pervasive effects that result from it.
As SVA Week draws nearer,
we will finalize the details of the week's events. Please show your support
of our mandate to end sexual violence by participating in our events, and
attending our fundraisers. With your support, we can continue to make a
difference.
